Skye is ready to shine!

Skye, is a  rising singer/songwriter, who was born in Brooklyn and raised throughout the tri-state area. I first became aware with who skye was through social media. We had a lot of mutual connections and before you knew it we starting bumping into one another all over the “industry”. He is emerging into the industry with his own style and dynamic of the R&B genre. He says his career began to flourish at the tender age of 12. After the tragic death of his brother to the streets, Skye was able to transfer his pain into energy. He began to develop songs and composed music.  You can almost fill his pain he says through the crooning over a track.

Skye has a catalog of over 50 songs written and tracks produced from Jimi Kendrix (Jay-Z, Ashanti), The Heavyweights (Ne-Yo, Rihanna), Grand Staff (Fabolous, Chris Brown, Ryan Leslie) Onree Gill (Alicia Keys, John Mayer), The Beat Banggahz (Trey Songz, Sisqo), Neek Rusher (Cam’ron) and the Souldiggaz (Beyonce, Missy).

He has been featured in  the October 2010 issue of Essence magazine and the June 2011 issue of JET, received a placement on Jazz artist Lynette Washington’s”Kaleidoscope” album (which was Grammy nominated in 2010) , he has been featured on Hip Hop Legend Heavy D’s last album “Love Opus” alongside Anthony Hamilton, Carl Thomas, and Juan Winans (of the Famous Winans family). Skye has sang background for the Legendary James Brown at the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards, he has been placed on numerous mixtapes from such notable DJ’s as: Streetsweepers, Cool Kev, Finesse, Radio, DJ Gooch, PT Spinna and more. Skye’s Myspace page has garnered a large fan base with over 5,000 friends, over 70 plays per day and over 50,000 views since late 2005. Also his twitter page has over 6,000 followers and counting.

Needless to say Skye’s talents have not gone unnoticed. He has interviews and content present on some of the most respected blog sites in his demographic, including the fabulous website SuchaBossLady.com

He has had his time on  air play on 90.3 FM located in New York City and WWBX 97.1 FM and WBZN 107.3 FM in Maine. The overseas markets, (Netherlands and Germany), has been nothing but receptive to the artist with placements and radio shows.

SKYE says:  “Anyone that wants music with pure truth. My audience is broad… I target the ladies and identify with the fellas. My music is about love, sex, and life’s choices. I say the things people think but are too afraid to say. From 14-45, you will love my music. I am one of the leaders of the birth of progressive soul/R&B.” – Skye

So You Are Familar with K.Michelle,Dondria,Mindless Behavior???
If So Meet Crystal Annick!
This Young Lady has been GRINDING behind the Scenes.

Crystal is a native of Miami,Florida. Her background in Design,PR,and Marketing has lead her to work with many of the stars we see on TV. I asked Crystal, Why she is SuchaBossLady, and here is what she had to say,
“I feel that I am a boss because I was able to turn my God given talents into amazing job opportunities. Once I stopped trying to find that one job that would allow me to express myself fully or would allow me to utilize all of my skills, I started working for myself and creating my own jobs. By doing just that, I have already been blessed with opportunities to do work with Dondria, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star, K. Michelle, Mindless Behavior and Shanell of Young Money, to name a few. I’ve also help develop and expand the brands and online presences of a few up and coming artists. I refuse to allow anyone to tell me what I can or can’t do because once I set my mind on it, I’m going to work as hard as I need to for it to happen. Failure is not an option for me. I live to be successful. To me, that makes me a boss. This is only the beginning for me !”
Already, this young lady has Worked with K. Michelle to help enhance and maintain her online presence. This is major for Crystal being that K.Michelle is all over TV right now!She has also arranged multiple fan contests and a live Twitter Fan Q&A for boy band Mindless Behavior during the Scream Tour that they headlined alongside Diggy Simmons.
Designed the official artwork for both Dondria’s, “Dondria Duets 3: The 90′s Edition” mixtape and K. Michelle’s “Pre-Pain Medicine/For Colored Girls” mixtape that both received a lot of positive feedback. As well as working with many up and coming artists to develop and expand their brands and online presence.
She is Definately #SuchaBossLadyApproved!
DO YOU KNOW WHO KID FURY IS?! IF NOT GO GET YOUR LIFE!
“I wake up every day and slay the online streets with my opinion and hearty helpings of shade. Then I get paid for it. That alone makes me quite bossy in this dark Miami mind I was born with, however there’s so much more that goes on. Besides the updating of the blog, I create and edit my own Youtube videos, manage a Twitter account with over 45,000 followers and design my own line of Kid Fury shirts. These dollars — I get to them. Yeah, I’m quite the boss”. #SUCHABOSSLADY
THE BLOCK BROTHAS
The time is now, one of Harlem’s most anticipated up & coming mixtape  is almost here! The Block Brothas have set August 19th , to release their new LP entitled ‘The Invitation to H-Town! When I first heard , H-Town , I was thinking why are they repping Houston? But, they’re refering to Harlem, which they told SuchaBossLady,”Look, Harlem is the new H-Town“. I don’t know what Beyonce would think of that but ok.
This project is hosted by the #VoiceofDSU #KingoftheCollegeAirwaves,
The King Celeb. The mixtape also has features from LonLon, The Weeknd, Vertical Horizon & many more. According to critics of the mixtape, the sound isn’t the ususal vibe of a “New York” artist. The LP drops, Sunday, August 19th at 1:30 and be available on DatPiff.com, HipHopNews24/7.com, and HipHopEarly.
They told me to tell you to tell a friend to tell a friend that you all are invited 08.19.12 to “The Invitation To H-Town”. When I asked why are The Block Brothas Bosses , they said just this: We are bosses because when the lights go on, we always know how to perform. We “Work Hard Like It’s Your Last Game”- Game 7.. #cheaaatodat. Check out their latest video below “Never Been” directed by Rakeem Nowell.

ALison NoSILA
Imma Boss because I use my God given talent to design and inspire others. As an artist and designer, I allow my creativity to lead my aesthetics in the right direction for success. As an artist, I began painting and drawing as a child. I became interested in clothing design in high school. My mother bought me my first sewing machine and the rest is history. Despite my early sewing classes,  I consider myself a self taught designer.  I develop my own patterns and  just let my instincts take over without sketching sometimes. I got my real first push into fashion, entering a fashion show during my freshman year of college. After, I was asked to compete in the “Visions” annual fashion show. During college I was offered an opportunity to go to NYFW in Bryant Park to experience the amazing Naeem Kahn, It blew my mind!!!!!  Also, I was blessed enough to intern for my favorite designer Betsey Johnson. I was able to experience the fashion industry first hand. I was blessed to launch a showcase for my line AlisonnosilA. During my launch I received  love, support, and the commitment from others that really inspired me to continue to pursue and follow my dreams!!!!! XoXo!!!!!

SuchaBossLady.COM recently caught up with Sha’Leah Stibblefield, and this is why she is a Boss!
She graduated from Alfred University with a BA in COMM. Since then she has worked at Wendy Raquel Robinson’s performing arts conservatory (Amazing Grace Conservatory). There, she taught classes such as Musical Theatre, Step, and Song writing. “Working with children is a passion and a calling I think God has on my life. I learn from these children as they learn from me. Seeing them on stage after a semester at the conservatory is one of the greatest feelings”, she says.
Along, side that she told SuchaBossLady that she worked at a middle school for 3 years as a after school tutor. This was just a transitional  job after college just to make some extra money, but it became much more than a tutoring position. She included in the interview with SuchaBossLady that she begin to  develop relationships with the students and became a mentor to many of them.
Recently she moved to New York to pursue her dreams of Musical Theatre as well as song writing. Since being there within the  first month, she reports to I have gone to several auditions met with publishing companies, agents, and had writing sessions with signed artists. She told SuchaBossLady, “While it was hard to leave my students it was a great lesson for them. They get to see me going out after my dream..I want to be an example to them and what better way to be an example then to lead by example” !

I’ve been studing various types of music and retaining lots of fresh ideas. This album will be from my heart. From my soul. I live for the stage. And thats one of the main concepts of my project and and just who I am altogether.
So keep your ears open for release dates, and maybe even a couple sneak peaks from the album!

I’ve never let my history dictate my future or my current circumstances determine my fate. I’ve never been afraid to knock down closed doors, pave unclear paths or create my own. My passion and drive is unstoppable, my self-motivation incomparable. I live for my family, for my God and for service to others. Simply put, I’m such a boss.”
A native of Chicago, Lakeisha is majoring in Journalism with an emphasis in Strategic Communication, and a minor in Sociology. One program, SWIPES, has donated a few tons of food and beverages to non-profit organizations and charities across Columbia this year alone. Most recently, Lakeisha was honored to be selected as a 2012 Mizzou ’39 recipient. Lakeisha currently has scholarship offers from seven law schools, and is deciding which to attend upon graduation.

I’m a Boss because it’s in my GENES. My soul embodies the hustle and survival of my ancestors before me. I’m excited about life and I’m able to decipher what others need, want and crave. I say the things others only imagine. I’m bold and daring, yet shy and subtle. I’m a nurturer yet I’m a Bitch. I’m a creative, strong, imperfect, intuitive strategist that affects the capital of those around me. I’m secure in my role and work well under pressure. I make decisions and resolve issues everyday that affect how others run their lives. I’m a chameleon that adapts to all personalities and situations. I wear many hats yet I still find time to have dinner on the table by 6pm. I’m a Boss because I only know how to lead. This isn’t the life I chose, it was the life that chose me and although I make it look easy, it takes a certain kind of woman to walk in my size 9s. But until you’re able to take a seat and enjoy the ride, maybe you’ll learn something.
